Journey<\/strong>\u2019s Neal Schon<\/strong> appears to be responding to his bandmate Jonathan Cain<\/strong>\u2019s recent lawsuit, in which he accused Schon of overspending.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a <\/span>post on social media<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, Schon shared a response to a fan who commented, \u201ctheres a lot of rumours about the band living its final days cus you and your wife can’t stop expending the bands money. Is this truth?\u201d Schon called it\u00a0\u201cabsolute rubbish.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why people believe Media if anything [what]\u00a0she\u2019s done is make us a lot of money by attaining the Trade Mark,” which he said “cost quite a lot of money.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that “both Jon Cain and Arnel Pineda<\/strong> are benefiting from that equally. It\u2019s split in thirds.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He then responded to claims he\u2019s overspending\u00a0by chartering private jets, saying they’re \u201capproved in our budget.” Responding to claims he and his wife spend huge amounts on hotels,\u00a0he insisted they pay for any upgrades they take.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the second time JONATHAN CAIN has sued me for the same thing we\u2019ve already been through in court – that case was dropped by both of us,\u201d he said. \u201cWe both agreed to drop and move forward with prejudice. That means that you never open it again. Well here we are again.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

He ends his post, \u201cDon\u2019t believe all you read in media it\u2019s all manipulated and contrived as they wish it to be. I\u2019m taking a higher road.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cain filed his lawsuit against Schon on July 24, detailing what he claimed was Schon\u2019s overspending, although in a statement he insisted the aim of the suit was to get the court to appoint a third, independent director to serve on the band\u2019s Freedom 2020 board in order to deal with \u201cgrowing issues\u201d between him and Schon.<\/span><\/p>\n
