Journey<\/strong>\u2019s Neal Schon<\/strong> is once again speaking out against his bandmate Jonathan Cain<\/strong>\u00a0after Cain filed a lawsuit detailing what he claims is Schon\u2019s overspending.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI find Cain\u2019s slanderous allegations are very disruptive and damaging with intent to try to harm me, the band, crew, promoter and the tour,\u201d he writes <\/span>on Facebook<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. \u201cTruly disturbing to hear of Mr Cains filing in the middle of Journey\u2019s very successful Stadium Tour with our good friends Def Leppard<\/strong>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He accuses Schon of creating \u201ca very hostile work environment\u201d for himself and their fellow bandmates, maintaining\u00a0“the\u00a0allegations are false and I intend to prove it in court.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

“My focus is, as it always has been, and will be, the music and fans since when I began Journey in 1972,\u201d he says. \u201c51 years now for me, I will continue to always do what\u2019s right for Journey in protecting and making good decisions for the band, crew, music and fans. I will let the music do the talking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cain filed a lawsuit against Schon on July 24, detailing what he claimed was Schon\u2019s overspending, although in a statement he insisted the aim of the suit was to get the court to appoint a third, independent director to serve on the band\u2019s Freedom 2020 board in order to deal with \u201cgrowing issues\u201d between him and Schon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Schon previously responded to the\u00a0allegations\u00a0<\/span>via social media<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, calling them \u201cabsolute rubbish.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In the meantime, Schon and Cain are currently sharing a stage on Journey’s Summer Stadium tour with Def Leppard. The tour hits Houston on Wednesday. A complete list of dates can be found at <\/span>journeymusic.com<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
