Cutler<\/strong> and Elton\u2019s husband, <strong>David Furnish<\/strong>, follows Elton during his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, with the description noting it \u201coffers keen insight into a life and career marked by soaring highs and crushing lows, and contemplates a legacy defined equally by advocacy and artistry.\u201d Elton, Furnish and Cutler are expected to attend the premiere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also premiering at the festival is <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">TWST \/ Things We Said Today<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, from Romanian director <strong>Andrei Ujica<\/strong>, about The Beatles\u2019 1965 trip to New York to headline Shea Stadium, and <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pavements<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, a \u201crule-flouting sorta-documentary\u201d about <strong>Stephen Malkmus<\/strong> and the band <strong>Pavement<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Elton\u2019s doc is getting its U.S. premiere at the festival; it\u2019s already set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 5 to Sept. 15. Meanwhile,\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">TWST \/ Things We Said Today<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> and <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Pavements<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> are getting their North American premieres,\u00a0with both set to debut at the Venice Film Festival, which\u00a0runs from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.filmlinc.org\/nyff2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>New York Film Festival<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0takes place\u00a0Sept 27. to Oct. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
