Lenny Kravitz<\/strong>\u2019s daughter, actress Zo\u00eb Kravitz<\/strong>, is opening up about what it was like growing up with a famous rock star father.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a new interview with <\/span>Esquire<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>, Zo\u00eb discusses the differences\u00a0of living with\u00a0her dad\u00a0versus her mom,\u00a0Lisa Bonet<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>when she was young, noting that Bonet was a\u00a0much stricter parent.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was this whirlwind of a completely different universe,\u201d she says of visiting her dad after her parents broke up, which was during the height of his fame. \u201cAnd then I would go home to this really quiet, really simple life [with Bonet].\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

By 11, Zo\u00eb had opted out of Bonet’s stricter\u00a0household and\u00a0moved in\u00a0with her dad in Miami, which gave her lots of freedom \u2014 but that wasn\u2019t necessarily a good thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t that my dad didn\u2019t care, he just cared about different things,\u201d she said. \u201cJust like it happens in the movies, it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, you think this is perfect? You think this is great? Guess what comes with <\/span>this<\/span><\/em>.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Zo\u00eb also says that when she was young she would often see her dad being taken advantage of by people around him, noting he had a hard time saying no.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI can smell it out pretty quickly,\u201d she says of her suspicions that people may take advantage of her dad. \u201cI had to when I was a kid, because he didn\u2019t. He\u2019s really trusting, and it\u2019s sweet, but I can tell exactly what someone wants.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
