The Ramones will be taking over the ferry\u2019s on-board digital screens and \u201cRockaway Beach\u201d will play as the ferry departs Wall Street\/Pier 11. Riders will receive 50 Years of Ramones stickers (while supplies last), along with free samples of Rockaway Soda. There will also be a raffle, courtesy of Rhino Records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition, Rockaway Beach Bakery\u00a0has created some Ramones-themed treats for the occasion, including limited-edition Ra-scones and Now I Wanna Sip Some (Cold) Brew.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">More info can be found at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferry.nyc\/blog\/hey-ho-lets-go-celebrating-50-years-of-ramones-and-rockaway-beach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s2\"><strong>ferry-nyc.com<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Formed in Forest Hills, New York, in 1974, the Ramones are considered by many to be one of the most influential punk rock bands of all time. The band \u2014 co-founded by <strong>Joey Ramone<\/strong>, <strong>Johnny Ramone<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Dee<\/strong> <strong>Dee Ramone<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 was known for such hits as &#8220;I Wanna Be Sedated,&#8221; &#8220;Rockaway Beach,&#8221; &#8220;Sheena Is a Punk Rocker&#8221; and more.
