Foreigner<\/strong> fans are getting a new song.<\/span><\/p>\n

After teasing fans on social media, the band just announced a new greatest hits compilation, <\/span>Turning Back the Time<\/span><\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>It will be released Oct. 4, ahead of the band\u2019s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The title of the 18-track album is also the one previously unreleased\u00a0tune that appears on it, \u201cTurning Back the Time.\u201d Originally recorded in 1996, the\u00a0song features vocals by Lou Gramm<\/strong>\u00a0and was co-written by Mick Jones<\/strong>, Gramm and Marti Frederiksen<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cForeigner\u2019s membership in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a priceless highlight of my career,\u201d Jones shares. \u201cI hope that this collection of the songs that brought us here, along with some later recordings that light our way forward, will mean as much to all who listen to them as they do to me.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regarding the new song, Jones adds, “The sentiment of the song spoke to us now more than ever and with the upcoming Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, we thought it an ideal time to let the world hear it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the new tune, the\u00a0album<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>includes songs from Foreigner\u2019s first\u00a0six albums, including classics like \u201cCold As Ice,\u201d \u201cHot Blooded,\u201d \u201cDouble Vision,\u201d “Juke Box Hero” and \u201cI Want To Know What Love Is.” It also features one song, \u201cWhen It Comes to Love,\u201d with the band\u2019s current lead singer,\u00a0Kelly Hansen<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turning Back the Time<\/span><\/em> is <\/span>available for preorder<\/strong><\/span><\/a> now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Foreigner is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Oct. 19 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The ceremony will stream live on Disney+, followed by a special airing on ABC at a later date.<\/span><\/p>\n
