A former club in Liverpool\u00a0that once hosted performances by The Beatles<\/strong> has now been turned into an Airbnb, the <\/span>BBC<\/strong><\/span><\/a> reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Casbah Coffee Club was opened in 1959 by the mother of original Beatles<\/strong> drummer Pete Best<\/strong>. The venue, in the basement of the Best home, closed in 1962 \u2014 but not before The Beatles performed there more than 40 times. John Lennon<\/strong>\u2019s band the Quarryman<\/strong>\u00a0also played there.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now Best and his younger brother Roag<\/strong> have turned the rooms above the club into a place any Beatles fan would love to stay. It features rooms named after\u00a0Lennon,\u00a0Paul McCartney<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0George Harrison<\/strong>, as well as original bassist Stuart Sutcliffe<\/strong> and Best, with each room featuring a \u201csprinkling\u201d of Beatles-related d\u00e9cor, like posters and photos.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no room named after\u00a0Ringo Starr<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>who replaced Best\u00a0before the band took off, but Roag insists it\u2019s not a slight at Ringo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s nothing to do with Pete and Ringo and what happened,” he says. “Everything we do is about being authentic and The Beatles that performed and partied here were John, Paul, George, Pete and Stuart.” He notes, “Ringo was never a member when he was here.”<\/span><\/p>\n
