Night three of the Democratic National Convention was on Wednesday night, and it saw John Legend<\/strong> welcome Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz<\/strong> with a tribute to Prince<\/strong> and his native Minnesota. He sang Prince and The Revolution<\/strong>‘s “Let’s Go Crazy”\u00a0with some help from\u00a0Sheila E<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stevie Wonder<\/strong>\u00a0took the stage<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for a performance of\u00a0\u201cHigher Ground,” but not before declaring\u00a0his support for Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong>. He also shared his hope for peace and unity.<\/p>\n

“This year, I prayed very hard for peace to come to our world\u2019s nations, but also to each one of our hearts, even though our hearts have been beaten and broken beyond prayer,” Stevie said. “We must keep on keeping on until we are truly a united people of these United States and then we will reach a higher ground.”<\/p>\n

Oprah<\/strong> also made an appearance during night three of the DNC.<\/p>\n

John Legend and Stevie Wonder are among the latest to perform at the Democratic National Convention in support of the Harris\/Walz ticket.\u00a0Patti LaBelle<\/strong>, who performed during night two,\u00a0described Harris as “gangster.”<\/p>\n

“I think she\u2019s \u2026 what they call ‘brat’ or whatever, I call it ‘gangster,'” Patti explained. “She\u2019s a throwback girl. She\u2019s a wonderful woman who has all aspects of gangster, political, brilliant. Whatever she wants to be, she is.”<\/p>\n

“I love her because she smiles, she laughs, she\u2019s joyful, and those kinds of things you don\u2019t see in some politicians,” LaBelle adds. “It\u2019s important for us to find somebody like that who will bring us a little joy and a little hope. It would be a Christmas present to everybody when she becomes president. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s ‘if,’ it\u2019s ‘when.'”<\/p>\n
