{"id":30204,"date":"2024-08-23T00:06:15","date_gmt":"2024-08-23T00:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/journey-hiring-someone-impartial-to-deal-with-neal-schon-and-jonathan-cains-disputes\/"},"modified":"2024-08-23T00:06:15","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T00:06:15","slug":"journey-hiring-someone-impartial-to-deal-with-neal-schon-and-jonathan-cains-disputes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/journey-hiring-someone-impartial-to-deal-with-neal-schon-and-jonathan-cains-disputes\/","title":{"rendered":"Journey hiring \u201csomeone impartial\u201d to deal with Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain\u2019s disputes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-08-22\/Getty_Journey_082224.jpg\" alt><figcaption> Rob Loud\/Getty Images for Journey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Journey<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Neal Schon<\/strong> has once again addressed\u00a0the ongoing dispute\u00a0between him and bandmate <strong>Jonathan Cain<\/strong>, revealing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/schonmusic\/posts\/pfbid02h2nLjFthU3tDHeMYDNyXf8U3yvkEHHDXikWPdSUYh56k4cbaTezwpRgEPBS18LSxl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>on social media<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> that they plan to bring in a third party to help them settle their issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAnyone who follows Journey will know that Jon Cain and I don&#8217;t always see eye-to-eye on everything Or, sometimes, on pretty much anything,\u201d Schon wrote. \u201cRecently, Jon Cain made a number of claims and slanderous accusations about me and my wife \u2013 and I can&#8217;t stress enough how much it upset me and how wrong they are.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Regardless, Schon says his main goal is to stay focused on the band\u2019s current tour, adding he\u2019s \u201cdetermined to take the high road and push all this aside for the moment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He says that he and Jon are now agreeing that \u201cthe current dynamic can\u2019t continue,\u201d so they plan to hire \u201csomeone impartial\u201d\u00a0to deal with their issues. He says the person&#8217;s aim will be\u00a0to \u201chelp us resolve our disputes, bring clarity to what we&#8217;re doing and allow us, as a band, to get back to what we should all focus on \u2013 making music and performing for our fans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So far Cain hasn\u2019t commented on Schon\u2019s remarks, although he seems to be getting what he wants. On July 24 he filed a lawsuit in Delaware detailing what he claimed was Schon\u2019s overspending, although in a statement he insisted the aim of the suit was to get the court to appoint a third, independent director to serve on the band\u2019s Freedom 2020 board in order to deal with \u201cgrowing issues\u201d between them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
