We are now getting our first look at the upcoming documentary <\/span>Daytime Revolution, <\/span><\/em>which looks at the week in February 1972 when John Lennon<\/strong> and Yoko Ono<\/strong> produced and co-hosted the popular daytime talk show\u00a0<\/span>The Mike Douglas Show<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>trailer<\/strong><\/span><\/a> features footage of the couple\u2019s\u00a0takeover of\u00a0the show, with clips of their guests including Chuck Berry<\/strong>, George Carlin<\/strong>\u00a0and activist\u00a0Ralph Nader<\/strong>, the latter of whom is interviewed for the film. There\u2019s also a clip of Lennon performing his classic tune \u201cImagine.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the description, the\u00a0doc \u201ctakes us back in time, as we observe John and Yoko interacting with a transfixed studio audience in revealing Q and A sessions where John Lennon was astonishingly candid about his life after the Beatles<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Daytime Revolution, <\/span><\/em>directed by Erik Nelson<\/strong>, is set to open in theaters on Oct. 9, which would have been Lennon\u2019s 84th birthday. It is also set to premiere at the Hamptons Film Festival, which runs from Oct. 4 to Oct. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n
