{"id":30251,"date":"2024-08-30T12:01:09","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T12:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/teaser-for-john-lennon-yoko-ono-one-to-one-doc-released\/"},"modified":"2024-08-30T12:01:09","modified_gmt":"2024-08-30T12:01:09","slug":"teaser-for-john-lennon-yoko-ono-one-to-one-doc-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/teaser-for-john-lennon-yoko-ono-one-to-one-doc-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaser for John Lennon &amp; Yoko Ono &#8216;One to One&#8217; doc released"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-08-29\/Getty_JohnLennonYokoOno_083034.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Bettmann \/ Contributor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>John<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lennon<\/strong> and <strong>Yoko Ono<\/strong>\u2019s One to One concerts in the &#8217;70s\u00a0are the subject of a new documentary premiering Aug. 30 at the Venice Film Festival, and a teaser for the\u00a0film\u00a0has just been released.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The clip for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3qFXNhpO3ZI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span class=\"s1\"><strong>One to One: John and Yoko<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a><span class=\"s1\">, directed by filmmaker <strong>Kevin Macdonald<\/strong>, features quick cuts from what appear to be home movies with footage of John and Yoko in the Big Apple, set to the Lennon-penned\u00a0<strong>Plastic Ono Band<\/strong> track \u201cNew York City.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.johnlennon.com\/news\/mercury-studios-new-documentary-one-to-one-john-yoko-from-award-winning-director-kevin-macdonald\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1 s2\"><strong>previous announcement<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0about the film describes it as \u201ca moving look at the couple\u2019s life upon their entry into a transformative 1970\u2019s New York, exploring their musical, personal, artistic, social, and political world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It culminates with the pair&#8217;s 1972 One to One concerts, which\u00a0were\u00a0Lennon&#8217;s only full-length performances after <strong>The Beatles<\/strong>&#8216; 1970 breakup. They featured Yoko,\u00a0the Plastic Ono Band,\u00a0<strong>Elephant\u2019s Memory\u00a0<\/strong>and special guests.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This isn\u2019t the only documentary about John and Yoko hitting the big screen this year.
