Hud Mellencamp and Mackenzie Adkins on ‘Claim to Fame’; Disney\/Chris Willard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

John Mellencamp<\/strong>‘s children really love reality TV: His daughter Teddi<\/strong> was a regular on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em>\u00a0and his son Hud<\/strong> just finished in the top three on ABC’s Claim to Fame,<\/em> which pits the relatives of celebrities against each other. But as a consolation prize, Hud may have found love.<\/p>\n

Hud tells People<\/em><\/a> that he’s sort of involved with fellow Claim to Fame<\/em> contestant Mackenzie Adkins<\/strong>, the daughter of country star Trace Adkins<\/strong>. Trace is no stranger to reality TV himself, having famously appeared on The Apprentice.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re just hanging out, seeing what happens,\u201d Hud tells People.<\/em> \u201cHe visited me a few times in Nashville,\u201d Mackenzie adds. \u201cI visited him. Yeah, going well.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also said out of all the contestants, she “especially” liked connecting with Hud, because they were both on the show due to the fact that their dads are musicians.<\/p>\n

Hud, whose mother is Mellencamp’s third wife, Elaine Irwin<\/strong>, is one of the five children John has from three marriages. Hud told People<\/em> that he didn’t reveal to his famous father how he did on the show prior to the finale, which made the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer “furious.”<\/p>\n
