The new Bruce Springsteen<\/strong> documentary <\/span>Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band<\/span><\/em>\u00a0premiered at the Toronto Film Festival Sunday, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at\u00a0his current tour, which kicked off in February 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the screening, Springsteen and director Tom Zimney<\/strong> sat down for a Q&A moderated by longtime friend and E Street Band<\/strong> guitarist Stevie Van Zandt<\/strong>, who asked\u00a0The Boss\u00a0how it feels to be playing with the same friends for over\u00a050 years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have the only jobs in the world where the people you went to high school with? At 75, you\u2019re still with them. You live your life with them,\u201d Springsteen said, according to <\/span>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>. \u201cYou see them grow up, you see them get married, you see them get divorced, you see them go to jail, you see them get out of jail, you see them renege on their child payments, you see them pay up, you see them get old, you see their hair go gray, and you\u2019re in the room when they die.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIn one way, I would wish you all such a lovely, complete experience with your good friends. On the other hand, it lays a weight on you \u2026 because of the time you\u2019ve spent together and the things you\u2019ve done.” He noted, “It reminds me of that scene in <\/span>Blade Runner<\/span><\/em>, where he says \u2018I\u2019ve seen things [you wouldn\u2019t believe]\u2019 … We\u2019ve seen some of that s***!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But\u00a0it certainly sounds like Springsteen has no regrets.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut if I had to go tomorrow I’d be okay,\u201d Springsteen said. \u201cBecause what a f*****\u2019 ride!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band\u00a0<\/span><\/em>is set to debut Oct. 25 on Hulu and Disney+.<\/span><\/p>\n
