Pink Floyd<\/strong>\u00a0guitarist David Gilmour<\/strong> recently dropped\u00a0<\/span>Luck and Strange<\/span><\/em>, his first solo album of new material in nine years, but it sounds like fans may not have to wait long for the next one.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rocker\u00a0tells <\/span>MOJO<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> that <\/span>Luck And Strange<\/span><\/em>\u00a0is \u201cthe best record I\u2019ve made going back to (Pink Floyd’s)\u00a0<\/span>The Dark Side Of The Moon<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>Wish You Were Here<\/span><\/em> or whatever\u201d and notes that he\u2019s already thinking about his next solo project.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got a trove of stuff already,\u201d he says. \u201cBits and pieces of songs, some of which I rather like.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Gilmour is set to kick off his Luck and Strange tour on Sept. 27 in Rome, Italy, but recently played two rehearsal shows in Brighton, England, on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21. According to <\/span>setlist.fm<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, in addition to new songs from the album, he played several Pink Floyd tunes, including \u201cBreathe (In The Air)\u201d for the first time since 2006 and \u201cMarooned\u201d for the first time since 2004, as well as \u201cTime,\u201d \u201cWish You Were Here\u201d and \u201cComfortably Numb.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Gilmour\u2019s Luck and Strange tour\u00a0includes six nights in London and hits\u00a0the States on Oct. 25 in\u00a0Los Angeles, where he\u2019ll play four shows.
