The upcoming movie about the making of Bruce Springsteen<\/strong>\u2019s album <\/span>Nebraska<\/span><\/em> has reportedly found the actor to play the rocker\u2019s father.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>Variety<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>, English actor Stephen Graham<\/strong>, who\u2019s had roles in <\/span>Peaky Blinders<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>Snatch<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>Boardwalk Empire\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and more, has been cast to play Springsteen\u2019s dad in <\/span>Deliver Me From Nowhere,<\/span><\/em> which stars Jeremy Allen White<\/strong> as The Boss.<\/span><\/p>\n

Springsteen\u2019s father, Douglas Frederick “Dutch” Springsteen<\/strong>, passed away in 1998. The rocker has been very open about the rocky relationship he had with his dad growing up and even wrote about it in his 2016 biography,\u00a0<\/span>Born to Run<\/span><\/em>. Their relationship inspired such songs as \u201cAdam Raised A Cain\u201d and \u201cIndependence Day.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Deliver Me From Nowhere<\/span><\/em>, directed by Scott Cooper<\/strong>, is based on the\u00a0Warren Zanes<\/strong>\u00a0book <\/span>Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen\u2019s Nebrask<\/span><\/em>a, which follows Springsteen\u2019s efforts to make his 1982 solo album,\u00a0<\/span>Nebraska<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to White, the cast includes\u00a0Paul Walter Hauser<\/strong> and Odessa Young<\/strong>.\u00a0Reports in May\u00a0claimed\u00a0<\/span>Succession<\/span><\/em> star\u00a0Jeremy Strong<\/strong> was in talks to play Springsteen\u2019s manager Jon Landau<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>but so far there’s been no confirmation that he’s been cast.<\/span><\/p>\n
