The Alarm<\/strong>\u2019s Mike Peters<\/strong> <\/span>has shared<\/strong><\/span><\/a> the good news that he is in complete remission following his latest battle with cancer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peters was first diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2005; in April he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer known as Richter’s syndrome.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

But now he says that after completing a blood cancer clinical trial\u00a0and chemotherapy at\u00a0The Christie Hospital in Manchester he is in remission.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis means that I am also now in position to have a Stem Cell Transplant from an unrelated matched donor,\u201d he shares, calling it \u201cmomentous news” since back in April he was told that without treatment he had a life expectancy of between two and 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe ordeal is not over yet however, in fact the toughest challenge of the Stem Cell Transplant can only be faced once the search for the matching blood stem cell donor is complete,\u201d Peters writes. He also\u00a0<\/span>urged folks to register<\/strong><\/span><\/a> themselves in order to save a life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peters thanked the staff at The Christie Hospital who treated him, as well as his wife,\u00a0Jules<\/strong>, and two sons,\u00a0Dylan<\/strong> and Evan<\/strong>. He also thanked his fans, noting, \u201cI will be forever grateful to them for sharing in the concert experiences over these challenging last few months.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
