Loverboy<\/strong>\u2019s classic single \u201cWorking For The Weekend\u201d has been reworked for a <\/span>new IHOP commercial<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band rerecorded the track and changed it to \u201cWorking for the Weekday\u201d to promote the chain\u2019s new House Faves menu, where select items are priced at just $6 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The campaign also includes a new music video modeled after the classic \u201c<\/span>Working for the Weekend<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d video, only instead of Loverboy performing the tune, it is a group of syrup dispensers, one of which even sports frontman Mike Reno<\/strong>\u2019s red bandana from the original clip.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Released in September 1981, “Working for the Weekend” appeared on Loverboy’s sophomore album, 1982’s Get Lucky<\/em>. The song peaked at #29 on the Billboard<\/em> Hot 100.<\/p>\n
