Pop star Camila Cabello<\/strong> has shared her take on The Who<\/strong> classic \u201cBehind Blue Eyes,” which appears in the trailer for the video game <\/span>Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

While the original song, from the band\u2019s 1971 album,\u00a0<\/span>Who\u2019s Next<\/span><\/em>, is dark and moody, Camila’s take is even darker and moodier. Her cover\u00a0is\u00a0a shortened version of the song, without the more rocking chorus.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I hadn\u2019t heard it before. That was what made me so excited to work with\u00a0<\/span>Diablo<\/span><\/em>,” Camila tells\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>. “<\/span><\/em>I was like, ‘Wow, this is one of the greatest songs of all time.'”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Behind Blue Eyes” was originally written to be sung from the point of view of a character in a concept album project called\u00a0<\/span>Lifehouse<\/span><\/em>, which The Who later abandoned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Camila tells\u00a0<\/span>Rolling Stone<\/span><\/em>\u00a0the idea that she could introduce her fans to the song was “one of the most fun parts” of recording it. She adds, “I also feel like as a writer, it makes you better, too, because it\u2019s always your hope to make a song like that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>arrives Oct. 8.<\/span><\/p>\n
