Paul McCartney<\/strong> kicked off the latest leg of his Got Back tour\u00a0in Montevideo, Uruguay, and treated fans to the live debut of the latest tune from The<\/strong>\u00a0Beatles<\/strong>, \u201cNow and Then.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>setlist.fm<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, McCartney broke out the tune about halfway through his set.\u00a0Fan-shot footage reveals that as he played, the video for the song, which featured archival footage of\u00a0The Beatles, was\u00a0projected on the screen behind him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Released in November, \u201cNow and Then,\u201d featured vocals John Lennon<\/strong> recorded on a demo in the late ’70s, along with new recordings from\u00a0<\/strong>McCartney\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ringo Starr<\/strong>, and guitar parts George Harrison<\/strong> recorded in the ’90s during the sessions for their\u00a0<\/span>Anthology\u00a0<\/span><\/em>series.\u00a0The song, said to be the final Beatles tune, debuted at #7 on the <\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/em> Hot 100 and at #1 in the U.K.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for the rest of the show, McCartney opened with The Beatles\u2019 classic \u201cA Hard Day\u2019s Night\u201d and\u00a0played such classic tunes as \u201cMaybe I\u2019m Amazed,\u201d \u201cLove Me Do,\u201d \u201cJet,\u201d \u201cBand on the Run,\u201d \u201cLive and Let Die,\u201d \u201cGet Back,\u201d \u201cHey Jude,\u201d \u201cBlackbird\u201d and \u201cI\u2019ve Got A Feeling,\u201d which was a duet with video of Lennon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
