Pretenders<\/strong> frontwoman Chrissie Hynde<\/strong> is getting ready to show off her art at a special exhibition opening in London in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition, <\/span>Hynde Sight<\/span><\/em>, is set to run from Nov. 2 to Dec. 14 at the Broadbent Gallery. The description reveals\u00a0that\u00a0the collection \u201cabounds with colour, texture and urgency, showcasing Chrissie’s dynamic still life, abstract work and self-portraits in vibrant oils.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was a meditative practice had turned into something more substantial and could not now be ignored,\u201d Chrissie shares of her art. \u201cLike lyrics for a song waiting to be written, the paintings kept accumulating, wanting to be seen. Writing the will would have to wait; action needed to be taken \u2014 the paintings would have to be dealt with.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pretenders are currently on a European tour, but it seems\u00a0Chrissie has been under the weather. The singer <\/span>took to social media<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to apologize to fans who caught their show in Munich Monday, with Hynde describing it as \u201cone of the worst performances of my career.\u201d The band then canceled their concert in Lyon, France, Wednesday due to \u201cillness within the band.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
