{"id":30529,"date":"2024-10-04T18:02:30","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T18:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/elvis-costello-shares-unreleased-live-performance-from-upcoming-king-of-america-and-other-realms-box-set\/"},"modified":"2024-10-04T18:02:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T18:02:30","slug":"elvis-costello-shares-unreleased-live-performance-from-upcoming-king-of-america-and-other-realms-box-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/elvis-costello-shares-unreleased-live-performance-from-upcoming-king-of-america-and-other-realms-box-set\/","title":{"rendered":"Elvis Costello shares unreleased live performance from upcoming &#8216;King Of America and Other Realms&#8217; box set"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-10-04\/M_ElvisCostelloKingofAmericabox_091324.jpg\" alt><figcaption>UMe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Elvis Costello<\/strong> is sharing another preview of his upcoming box set, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">King Of America and Other Realms,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">which is\u00a0due out Nov. 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The latest is a previously unreleased live performance of the <strong>Waylon Jennings<\/strong> tune \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w2a0DXVGxtA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Only Daddy That\u2019ll Walk The Line<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">,\u201d recorded in 1987 at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The entire Royal Albert Hall concert is one of six CDs that make up the\u00a0super deluxe edition\u00a0of the\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">King Of America and Other Realms<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> box set. It also includes a remastered version of his 1986 album <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">King of America\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">and three discs of collaborations, demos, outtakes and live recordings, taken from albums Costello recorded in America and released between 1989 and 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Some of those songs include a first draft version of the album&#8217;s single, &#8220;Brilliant Mistake,&#8221; and collaborations with <strong>Emmylou Harris<\/strong>, <strong>Lucinda Williams<\/strong>, <strong>Rosanne Cash<\/strong> and the late <strong>Kris Kristofferson<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition to the six-CD set, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">King Of America and Other Realms <\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">will be released as a double CD, featuring the new remaster of the album and highlights of the box set.
