Tears for Fears<\/strong>\u00a0have released the new song \u201c<\/span>Astronaut<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,\u201d one of four new studio tracks that will appear on their upcoming live album, <\/span>Songs For a Nervous Planet,<\/span><\/em> due out Oct. 25.<\/span><\/p>\n

This tune, the second new track they\u2019ve released from the album following “<\/span>The Girl That I Call Home<\/span>,\u201d is available now <\/span>via digital outlets<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“\u2018Astronaut\u2019 started out during the sessions for The Tipping Point<\/em>,\u201d Tears for Fears’ Curt Smith<\/strong> shares. “I had forgotten how good of a song it was as it gives you a sense of release.” He adds, \u201cEmotionally it\u2019s about this guy who doesn’t feel he belongs here and wants to be an astronaut floating out into space \u2026 a lot of people identify with the emotion of that song, that sense of alienation.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the new songs, <\/span>Songs For a Nervous Plant<\/span><\/em> features live versions of hits like “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” “Sowing the Seeds of Love,” “Mad World,” “Shout” and “Head Over Heels.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The band has also released a live video for \u201c<\/span>Head Over Heels<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,\u201d taken from their upcoming film, <\/span>Tears For Fears Live (A Tipping Point Film),\u00a0<\/span><\/em>which will be shown in theaters Oct. 24 and Oct. 26.<\/span><\/p>\n

The concert film was shot in Franklin, Tennessee, during the band’s Tipping Point Tour Part 2. Tickets\u00a0for the movie <\/span>are on sale now<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
