Stevie Nicks<\/strong> is showing her appreciation for director Michael Moore<\/strong>, who <\/span>wrote an article<\/strong><\/span><\/a> praising her <\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/span><\/em> performance of her new song \u201c<\/span>The Lighthouse<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Stevie said the song was inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and Moore\u00a0gave her props for\u00a0using the performance to speak out on the subject.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the article, Moore described Stevie’s\u00a0performance as a \u201crare moment when a performer chose to give voice to the 200 million or so of us Americans who, for over two years, have been in a rage that the Supreme Leader in America (aka, the ‘Supreme Court,’ that group of five or six religious right-wing nutters who rule over what women can and cannot do with their bodies in this country), overturned Roe v. Wade.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, \u201c[M]y jaw dropped as she belted out one fiercely brutal lyric after another aimed squarely at the Court, at Trump, at MAGA Nation \u2014 and imploring all women to take a stand, to fight back now, it\u2019s not too late.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moore noted that when a technical glitch delayed Stevie\u2019s second performance he had worried <\/span>SNL<\/span><\/em> pulled the plug on the two-time Rock & Roll Hall\u00a0of Famer, but she did eventually go on.<\/span><\/p>\n

“All was well in land!” he wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stevie responded to the article with a note on her <\/span>Instagram Story<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, thanking Moore \u201cfor so eloquently saying what I\u2019ve been trying to express.” She noted, “Your words remind us of the urgency to act.”<\/span><\/p>\n

She then encouraged her fans to \u201cget involved and most importantly go out and vote,\u201d adding, \u201cLet\u2019s be the lighthouse guiding each other toward real change.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
