Elton John’<\/strong>s documentary\u00a0Never Too Late\u00a0<\/em>and the Bob Dylan\u00a0<\/strong>biopic A Complete Unknown\u00a0<\/em>have received\u00a0multiple nominations<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at this year’s Hollywood Music in Media Awards.<\/p>\n

The HMMAs recognize musical achievements in the movies in multiple categories, including documentaries, features, songs, on-screen performances and more.<\/p>\n

Elton’s documentary, which will debut on Disney+ on Dec. 13, is nominated for Music Documentary – Special Program. Some of the other nominees include\u00a0The Greatest Night in Pop,\u00a0<\/em>about the making of the all-star charity song “We Are the World”; and\u00a0One to One: John and Yoko<\/em>, which documents the couple’s move to New York City in the ’70s and their subsequent musical performances there.<\/p>\n

In the category of Song – Documentary Film, the track “Never Too Late,” which is performed by Elton John and\u00a0Brandi Carlile\u00a0<\/strong>in the documentary, is nominated.<\/p>\n

A Complete Unknown\u00a0<\/em>is nominated in the category of Music Themed Film, Biopic or Musical, where its competition includes\u00a0Wicked, Bob Marley: One Love <\/em>and the\u00a0Amy Winehouse\u00a0<\/strong>biopic\u00a0Back to Black<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In the category of Song – Onscreen Performance (Film),\u00a0Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong>, who’s playing Bob Dylan in\u00a0A Complete Unknown<\/em>, is nominated for his onscreen performance of “Blowin’ in the Wind.”<\/p>\n

The HMMA Awards will be held Nov. 20. As previously reported, Elton’s lyricist\u00a0Bernie Taupin\u00a0<\/strong>will receive the Outstanding Career Achievement Award.<\/p>\n
