While Pete Townshend<\/strong> recently shared in an interview with <\/span>The Standard<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> that The Who<\/strong> will \u201cdefinitely do something next year,\u201d it looks like his bandmate Roger Daltrey<\/strong> has made other plans in the meantime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daltrey just announced dates for\u00a0the Alive and Kicking\u2026And Having Fun tour of the U.K., which promises \u201cWho hits, rarities, solo hits and stories.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tour consists of nine intimate shows, kicking off April 20 in Brighton, England, and hitting such cities as London, Glasgow and Edinburgh before wrapping May 4 in Manchester.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daltrey will be joined on the tour with a nine-piece band that includes Who collaborator, and Pete\u2019s younger brother, Simon Townshend <\/strong>on guitar and vocals.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to get back on the road in the UK with these shows,\u201d Roger shares. \u201cIt\u2019s a joy to be on stage performing \u2013 up close and personal for the audience, chatting with them and playing familiar songs in an unfamiliar way.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday. A complete list of dates can be found at <\/span>thewho.com<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Daltrey toured the U.S. back in June, where he treated the audience to a mix of\u00a0The Who\u00a0<\/strong>classics, covers and more. The last time The Who toured the U.S. was in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
