Bruce Springsteen<\/strong> took a break from his Canadian tour to travel to New York and perform at the 18th annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit Monday night at David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to <\/span>setlist.fm<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, The Boss played a four-song acoustic set that included \u201cThe Power of Prayer,\u201d \u201cLand of Hope and Dreams,\u201d \u201cDancing in the Dark\u201d and \u201cLong Walk Home.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Fan-shot video posted online shows that he called “Long Walk Home” \u201ca small prayer for our country.\u201d During his post-election show in Toronto on Nov. 6, he called\u00a0the tune\u00a0“a fighting prayer for my country.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0as he’s done in the past at Stand Up For Heroes, Bruce\u00a0treated the audience to a few dirty jokes. According to <\/span>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/em><\/a>,<\/em> they included jokes about a woman who takes her husband to a strip club where everyone knows him, and a guy who\u2019s surprised to find his girlfriend pregnant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stand Up For Heroes, with a lineup that also included Norah Jones<\/strong> and DJ Questlove<\/strong>, along with comedians Jim Gaffigan<\/strong>, Jon Stewart<\/strong>, Jerry Seinfeld<\/strong> and Mark Normand<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>raised over $29 million for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which supports our nation\u2019s veterans, service members and their families.<\/span><\/p>\n

Springsteen is set to return to Canada on Wednesday with a show in Winnipeg. The Canadian leg of the tour wraps Nov. 22 in Vancouver.<\/span>
