Bonnie Raitt<\/strong> is set to headline the 2025 edition of MerleFest, which runs April 24-27 on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Raitt is set to headline on April 25, with The Avett Brothers<\/strong> and The Dead South<\/strong> also booked to headline.\u00a0The lineup also includes\u00a0The War and Treaty<\/strong>, Sam Bush<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Asleep at the Wheel<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

MerleFest was founded in 1988 by the late Grammy Award-winning musician Doc Watson<\/strong>, in memory of his son, musician Eddy Merle Watson<\/strong>, who died in 1985 at the age of 36. The festival serves as a fundraiser for Wilkes Community College.<\/span><\/p>\n

Artists who performed at previous editions of MerleFest include Willie Nelson<\/strong>, Elvis Costello<\/strong>, The Doobie<\/strong> Brothers<\/strong>, Robert Plant<\/strong>, John Prine <\/strong>and Dolly Parton<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
