Rod Stewart<\/strong>\u00a0has reunited with his Faces<\/strong> bandmates\u00a0Ron Wood<\/strong>\u00a0and Kenney Jones<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rod <\/span>posted a photo<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0to Instagram Monday of the three of them sitting on a couch together. While he didn’t offer up a\u00a0caption on the shot, it’s apparent from the comments fans are hoping\u00a0it\u00a0will lead to more than just the photo.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Reunion,” one person commented, while\u00a0another requested, “Please play some shows next year!!!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Stewart and Wood have talked about the future of Faces in interviews this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Back in February, Rod told\u00a0<\/span>Vulture<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>\u00a0he had some songs that were written and not released, and that he had sent them to Wood, telling him, \u201cThis is stuff we\u2019ve recorded with my band, maybe the Faces would like to do it instead?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And in an interview with BBC Radio\u2019s <\/span>Front Row<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in November, Wood talked about the work he\u2019s doing with Faces, noting, \u201cWe\u2019re making some continued developments of music we made back in the day. … It still sounds as no time has gone by.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While they have yet to release new music, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers did put out some music from their archives. They released\u00a0<\/span>The BBC Session Recordings\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and\u00a0<\/span>Had Me A Real Good Time\u2026 With Faces Live In Session At The BBC 1971-1973\u00a0<\/span><\/em>for separate Record Store days. They also released\u00a0<\/span>Faces At The BBC \u2014 Complete BBC Concert & Session Recordings 1970-1973 <\/span><\/em>in September<\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
