He took to social media\u00a0platform\u00a0X Wednesday to share his thoughts on the film, which is set to open Dec. 25.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThere\u2019s a movie about me opening soon called A Complete Unknown (what a title!),\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/bobdylan\/status\/1864381624915231149\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>he tweeted<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">. \u201c<strong>Timothee Chalamet<\/strong> is starring in the lead role. Timmy\u2019s a brilliant actor so I\u2019m sure he\u2019s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dylan went on to recommend the book on which the movie is based, 2015\u2019s <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Dylan Goes Electric<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, by <strong>Elijah Wald<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt\u2019s a fantastic retelling of events from the early \u201860s that led up to the fiasco at Newport,\u201d he shared. \u201cAfter you\u2019ve seen the movie read the book.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">A Complete Unknown <\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">follows a 19-year-old Dylan as he arrives in New York from Minnesota and tracks his rise as a folk singer during the &#8217;60s, ending with his electric rock &#8216;n&#8217; roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This isn&#8217;t the first time Dylan has shared his thoughts on the project. <em>A Complete Unknown<\/em>\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">director <strong>James Mangold<\/strong> has said that Dylan had some input during the making of the film. In fact, in a recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-features\/timothee-chalamet-a-complete-unknown-bob-dylan-cover-story-interview-1235157596\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a><span class=\"s1\"> interview <strong>Ed Norton<\/strong>, who plays\u00a0<strong>Pete Seeger <\/strong>in the movie, shared that Mangold revealed Dylan made him put what\u2019s described as \u201cone totally inaccurate moment\u201d into the flick, although Mangold didn\u2019t say what it was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
