{"id":31011,"date":"2024-12-10T21:03:10","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T21:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/elvis-costello-delving-into-his-early-catalog-for-new-radio-soul-tour\/"},"modified":"2024-12-10T21:03:10","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T21:03:10","slug":"elvis-costello-delving-into-his-early-catalog-for-new-radio-soul-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/elvis-costello-delving-into-his-early-catalog-for-new-radio-soul-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Elvis Costello delving into his early catalog for new Radio Soul! tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-12-10\/M_ElvisCostelloRadioSoul_121024.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Courtesy of Elvis Costello<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Elvis Costello<\/strong> will be highlighting his early catalog on a new\u00a0tour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The rocker just announced dates for the new Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello tour, which will have him performing songs from 1977\u2019s <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">My Aim is True<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> to 1986\u2019s <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Blood &amp; Chocolate<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, plus \u201cother surprises.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The tour is set to kick off June 12 in Seattle and wrap July 12 in Miami Beach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFor any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago,\u201d Elvis shares. \u201cYou can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For the tour, Costello will be backed by <strong>The Imposters<\/strong>, made up of <strong>Steve Nieve<\/strong>, <strong>Pete Thomas<\/strong> and <strong>Davey Faragher<\/strong>, with the addition of guitarist\u00a0<strong>Charlie Sexton<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An artist presale kicks off Wednesday at 10 a.m., with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Before the Radio Soul! tour, Elvis and Nieve will hit the road on a separate\u00a0trek that kicks off Feb.\u00a019 in Easton, Pennsylvania.\u00a0A complete list of all of Elvis&#8217; dates can be found at\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tour.elviscostello.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>elviscostello.com<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
