U2<\/strong> drummer Larry Mullen Jr<\/strong>. has just released two new songs, both of which\u00a0were written for\u00a0the new documentary <\/span>Left Behind<\/span><\/em>, which is getting a theatrical release in January.<\/span><\/p>\n

The songs, \u201c<\/span>Between The Lines<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d featuring GAYLE<\/strong> and \u201c<\/span>One of Us<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u201d featuring Welsh singer\u00a0Donna Lewis<\/strong>, are now available via digital outlets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both tunes were co-written by Mullen, who is also a producer on <\/span>Left Behind. <\/span><\/em>The film\u00a0tells the story of the New York City mothers who fought to open the city’s first public school for dyslexic children. The school, the South Bronx Literacy Academy, opened in September 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mullen and GAYLE, who teamed to co-write \u201cBetween The Lines,\u201d both have a personal connection to the subject matter, as GAYLE and Mullen\u2019s son both have dyslexia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Left Behind<\/em> is set to open Jan. 17\u00a0for a weeklong engagement at New York City’s QUAD Cinema. It will then expand to select theaters nationwide.<\/p>\n
