Legendary singer Paul Rodgers<\/strong> turns 75 on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rodgers is best known for his work as the frontman of Free<\/strong>, which had a top-five hit with \u201cAll Right Now\u201d in 1970, as well as the frontman of the supergroup Bad Company<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bad Company\u2019s self-titled debut album, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in May, hit #1 thanks to such classic songs as \u201c<\/span>Can\u2019t Get Enough of Your Love<\/strong><\/span><\/a>”\u00a0and <\/span>the title track<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0Rodgers told ABC Audio “it\u2019s a very lovely feeling\u201d knowing the songs on\u00a0<\/span>Bad Company\u00a0<\/span><\/em>have stood the test of time after 50 years, sharing, \u201cWhen I listen back to it, I’m like, wow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After leaving Bad Company in 1982, Rodgers launched a successful solo career and also fronted the band The Law<\/strong>, featuring former Faces<\/strong> drummer Kenney Jones<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2004, Rodgers joined Queen<\/strong>\u2019s Brian May<\/strong> and Roger Taylor<\/strong> for a TV performance, and soon the Queen members were asking him to join them on the road. The touring collaboration, under the name Queen + Paul Rodgers, kicked off in 2005. They even recorded an album together, <\/span>The Cosmos Rocks<\/span><\/em>, which was released in 2008. Rodgers left in 2009 to get back to his solo career.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2023, Rodgers released <\/span>Midnight Rose<\/span><\/em>, his first solo album in almost 25 years, and revealed to the world he had suffered a series of strokes starting in 2016 that nearly took away his ability to sing.<\/span>\u00a0He told ABC Audio making the album helped him with his recovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it feels like being born again, actually, it’s absolutely great,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cI was sort of incapacitated. … And I had to take it step by step. And everything I did was like a progress, was a step in the right direction.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
