The store, Foote\u2019s, was about to go out of business, so Mason provided the funding it needed to continue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cOne of my great memories of being a young, budding drummer was going to the original [Foote\u2019s] &#8230; and buying my very first kit for \u00a37.50,\u201d he told Britain\u2019s ITV news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Unfortunately, the store closed down in 2022 after more than 100 years in business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2024, ABC Audio.
