{"id":31099,"date":"2024-12-23T21:04:26","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T21:04:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/paul-mccartneys-new-years-resolution-finish-an-album\/"},"modified":"2024-12-23T21:04:26","modified_gmt":"2024-12-23T21:04:26","slug":"paul-mccartneys-new-years-resolution-finish-an-album","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/paul-mccartneys-new-years-resolution-finish-an-album\/","title":{"rendered":"Paul McCartney\u2019s New Years resolution: &#8216;Finish an album!&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2024-12-23\/M_PaulMcCartney_ABC.png\" alt><figcaption>ABC\/Heidi Gutman<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Looks like we may be getting some new music from <strong>Paul McCartney<\/strong>\u00a0next year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The legendary <strong>Beatle,<\/strong> who recently wrapped the 2024 leg of his Got Back tour, answered some questions from fans <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paulmccartney.com\/news\/you-gave-me-the-answer-the-final-fan-questions-for-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>on his website<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">, and revealed he\u2019s planning to get back in the studio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When asked if he has any resolutions for\u00a02025,\u00a0McCartney shared, \u201cHere\u2019s one: finish an album!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI\u2019ve been working on a lot of songs, and have had to put it to the side because of the tour,\u201d he explained. \u201cSo, I\u2019m hoping to get back into that and finish up a lot of these songs. So, how\u2019s about that? \u2018My New Year\u2019s resolution is to finish a new album!\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">McCartney released his last album of new material, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">McCartney III,<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But for now, McCartney says\u00a0his main plan to enjoy some down time.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Asked about his plans for the holiday season, McCartney shared that he\u2019s looking forward to \u201ca well-deserved rest.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt\u2019s Christmas, so it\u2019s family time for me. We\u2019ve got the decorations up already actually,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m one of those guys that loves to overdo decorations, so I need a minute to sit back, relax and enjoy them.
