A man with absolute no guile. An individual that was quick to forgive and had the ability to show unconditional love to everyone he ever met.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He added, \u201cMy brother Wayne endured much. He gave it his all. His legacy will go down as someone who was not only a genius in his ability to write music, but was able to capture the hearts of millions of people and bring them closer to God.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Wayne was the second oldest member of the original Osmond Brothers singers, which began\u00a0as a barbershop quartet with\u00a0brothers <strong>Alan<\/strong>, Wayne, Merrill and <strong>Jay<\/strong>. They were discovered at Disneyland by <strong>Andy Williams<\/strong>&#8216; father,\u00a0<strong>Jay<\/strong>, and became regulars on <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">The Andy Williams Show<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Their brother <strong>Donny<\/strong> later joined\u00a0the group and they were renamed <strong>The Osmonds<\/strong>.\u00a0His teen idol status helped launch the height of the band&#8217;s success between 1971 and 1975. They were occasionally joined by their sister <strong>Marie<\/strong>, who became a successful solo artist and duet partner with Donny. The two\u00a0even got their own variety show, <\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">Donny &amp; Marie<\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\">, which ran from 1976 to 1979.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
