Actor\u00a0Michael Shannon\u00a0<\/strong>and musician\u00a0Jason Narducy<\/strong> will hit the road in February\u00a0for a tour where they\u2019ll be performing songs from R.E.M<\/strong>.\u2019s 1985 album\u00a0<\/span>Fables of the Reconstruction, <\/span><\/em>and folks just got a taste of what to expect.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The musicians appeared on <\/span>The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a> Wednesday, where they performed the R.E.M. classic \u201cDriver 8.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The tour kicks off Feb. 14 in Pioneertown, California, with stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, New York and more before wrapping March 14 in Chicago.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time the pair have launched a tour\u00a0celebrating the 40th anniversary of\u00a0an R.E.M. album. They previously went on the road in\u00a0honor of the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s debut album,\u00a0<\/span>Murmur<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest tour includes two shows, Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, in R.E.M.\u2019s home city of Athens, Georgia. During Shannon and Narducy\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Murmur\u00a0<\/span><\/em>tour, all four members of R.E.M. \u2014\u00a0Michael Stipe<\/strong>,\u00a0Mike Mills<\/strong>,\u00a0Bill Berry\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Peter Buck\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 made a surprise appearance at the Athens show, although Stipe did not perform.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other R.E.M. news …\u00a0<\/strong>Buck <\/span>is set to join<\/strong><\/span><\/a> Drivin N Cryin<\/strong> frontman Kevin Kinney<\/strong> for four shows in January. The shows kick off Jan. 28 in Atlanta and include stops in Chattanooga and Athens, before wrapping Jan. 31 in Ellijay.<\/span>
