During that two-year break Clapton battled a heroin addiction and recorded his second solo album,\u00a0<\/span><em><span class=\"s1\">461 Ocean Boulevard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An all-star lineup of\u00a0guest stars supported Clapton at the show, including <strong>The Who<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Pete Townshend<\/strong>, who organized the concert, <strong>Ronnie Wood<\/strong>, <strong>Steve Winwood<\/strong> and <strong>Jim Capaldi<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A live album of the concert was released that September, with an expanded edition released in 1995 to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the concert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
