Sammy Hagar<\/strong> spent last summer on\u00a0the road with his The Best of All Worlds Tour,\u00a0but it sounds like that may have been his last full-scale trek.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Miami Herald<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, the 77-year-old Sammy reveals that he doesn\u2019t see anymore big\u00a0tours in his future.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think I want to go on tour anymore,\u201d he shares. \u201cI hate to say that, because I don’t want to piss my fans off.\u201d<\/p>\n

But that doesn\u2019t mean fans won\u2019t have a chance to see him perform live again. In fact,\u00a0Sammy’s already booked a Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which kicks off this spring.<\/p>\n

“I’ll go out and do a one-off show and do things like that, but the residency is going to give me a good extension of my career,\u201d he says. \u201cThat’s what I’m hoping for.”<\/p>\n

“With this, I don’t have to travel, I don’t have to unpack and pack and get on an airplane every day,” he explains. “You know, at my age, it hurts my shoulders to do all this. And I have to perform. I’m a performer, at the end of the day.”<\/p>\n

The Best of All Worlds Tour \u2013 The Residency consists of nine shows, running from April 30 to May 17. Sammy will be joined at the shows by Van Halen<\/strong> bassist\u00a0Michael Anthony<\/strong>, guitarist\u00a0Joe Satriani<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0drummer\u00a0Kenny Aronoff<\/strong>.
