Ringo Starr<\/strong> is headed to the Grand Ole Opry.<\/p>\n

The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is set to perform at the legendary Nashville\u00a0institution\u00a0on Feb. 21.\u00a0Ringo was invited to make his debut by friend Emmylou Harris<\/strong> during the first of\u00a0his two shows at Nashville\u2019s Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat an honor that after all the extraordinary music he has made and all the incredible history he\u2019s been a part of, Ringo Starr will be making his Opry debut during this, the Opry\u2019s milestone 100th year,\u201d Opry executive producer Dan Rogers <\/strong>said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a night like no other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ringo will return to the Ryman on Wednesday for his second show celebrating his recently\u00a0released country album,\u00a0Look Up.<\/em> Both shows are being recorded for a two-hour CBS special, Ringo & Friends at the Ryman<\/em>, airing this spring. Friends at\u00a0Tuesday’s show included\u00a0Jack White<\/strong>, Sheryl Crow<\/strong>, Harris and\u00a0Billy Strings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As for\u00a0the concert, setlist.fm<\/strong><\/a> reports Ringo performed songs from Look Up<\/em>, including the title track with Molly Tuttle<\/strong> and \u201cThankful.\u201d He also played solo hits “Photograph” and “It Don’t Come Easy,” as well as The Beatles<\/strong>\u00a0classics \u201cYellow Submarine,\u201d \u201cOctopus\u2019 Garden,\u201d \u201cI Wanna Be Your Man\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

The show wrapped with an all-star performance of \u201cWith A Little Help From My Friends.\u201d Proceeds from the song\u00a0will benefit the Red Cross to help the victims of the California wildfires.<\/p>\n
