George Harrison<\/strong> hit #1 on the Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 with \u201cGot My Mind Set On You,\u201d a cover of a 1962 track originally recorded by James Ray<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The recording was produced by ELO<\/strong>\u2019s Jeff Lynne<\/strong>, who also played bass and keyboards on the song. It appeared on Harrison\u2019s 11th studio album, Cloud Nine<\/em>, which was\u00a0the final solo album to be released during\u00a0Harrison’s lifetime.<\/p>\n

\u201cGot My Mind Set On You\u201d would be Harrison\u2019s third and final #1 solo single. It also marked the last time a member of The<\/strong>\u00a0Beatles<\/strong> hit #1 in both the U.S. and the U.K.<\/p>\n

The song hit #1 just one week before The Beatles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
