Spin Doctors<\/strong> have announced their first new album in over a decade.<\/p>\n

The “Two Princes” outfit will release a record called\u00a0Face Full of Cake<\/em> on April 11. It’s the follow-up to 2013’s\u00a0If the River Was Whiskey<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“We weren’t really thinking of it as a record,”\u00a0drummer\u00a0Aaron Comess<\/strong> says of the upcoming collection. “We’ve gone through a lot of phases in our 35 years, and sometimes things really gel and sometimes they’re just extremely difficult. When we made this record, we captured a moment where it felt effortless. There’s a really fresh energy in the tracks \u2014 a sense of us discovering the songs as we played them.”<\/p>\n

Spin Doctors will celebrate the arrival of\u00a0Face Full of Cake<\/em> with a show April 12 at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl. Presales begin Jan. 20, and tickets go on sale to the general public Jan. 24.<\/p>\n
