Def Leppard<\/strong> guitarist Vivian Campbell<\/strong> has shared an update about his health.<\/p>\n

The rocker missed the band\u2019s Jan. 18 concert in Le\u00f3n, Mexico, with frontman Joe Elliott<\/strong> explaining he was “recovering from some treatment for his cancer.” Well, now Campbell has taken to social media<\/strong><\/a> to thank fans\u00a0who have reached out and to share some good news about his condition.<\/p>\n

“Thank you for all the recent messages and support. As you all may know, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma several years ago,\u201d he\u00a0wrote\u00a0on Def Leppard\u2019s Instagram page. \u201cI recently had a bone marrow transplant as part of my treatment plan, and it\u2019s safe to say that thus far it\u2019s been a very successful transplant!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just have to keep my head down and my spirits up for the next 100 days of primary recovery,\u201d he added, signing the post \u201cA very happy Viv!\u201d<\/p>\n

While\u00a0Campbell was replaced at the Mexico show by Phil Collen’<\/strong>s guitar tech John Zocco<\/strong>, it looks like he\u2019ll have plenty of time to recover and make the next one. Their next show isn\u2019t until May 15 in Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
