A Complete Unknown<\/em> star Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong> was the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live<\/em> on Saturday, where he performed some Bob Dylan<\/strong> songs, although he opted for deep cuts rather than hits like \u201cLike A Rolling Stone\u201d or \u201cThe Times They Are a Changin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his monologue, Chalamet revealed that he was \u201creally excited\u201d to perform, and shared, \u201cyou might not know the Bob Dylan songs I\u2019m performing, but they\u2019re my personal favorites.\u201d He then added, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful Saturday Night Live<\/em> is still doing weird stuff like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chalamet\u2019s first performance<\/strong><\/a> was a medley that started with \u201cOutlaw Blues,\u201d from 1965\u2019s Bringing It All Back Home<\/em>, with Chalamet donning a black hooded jacket with fur trim, and wearing black shades, to go along with the song’s lyrics: “I got my dark sunglasses\/ I got for good luck my black tooth.”<\/p>\n

He then shed the jacket to perform \u201cThree Angels,\u201d a tune from Dylan’s 1970 album\u00a0New Morning<\/em>, with the help of British singer James\u00a0Blake\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0on keyboards.<\/p>\n

That performance was introduced by Adam Sandler<\/strong>, who was part of a Nikki Glaser<\/strong> joke at the Golden Globe Awards<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0about the pronunciation of Chalamet\u2019s last name.<\/p>\n

Chalamet\u2019s final performance had him on acoustic guitar for the 1963 track \u201cTomorrow Is A Long Time<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d which appeared on the 1971 compilation album Bob Dylan\u2019s Greatest Hits Vol. II.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Complete Unknown<\/em> is up for eight Academy Awards, including best actor for Chalamet, something he joked about in his monologue. He commented on how he keeps losing every time he goes to an awards show, sharing, \u201cEach time it gets harder to pretend it doesn\u2019t sting.\u201d\u00a0SNL<\/em> showed then showed a montage of his reactions\u00a0every time he lost at a ceremony.<\/p>\n
