That\u2019s a lot of candles. Happy Birthday, Pop. Love and miss you more than you could ever know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former <strong>Van Halen<\/strong> frontman <strong>Sammy Hagar<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DFTj9civ8_1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>posted a tribute<\/strong><\/a> to Eddie with a photo of them rocking together onstage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201chappy 70th birthday, my brother wherever you are,\u201d he wrote. \u201ci will love and miss you and what we did together forever,&#8221; adding that he and Van Halen bassist <strong>Michael Anthony<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cwill keep it live, and alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DFToZFTyS2W\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>also posted<\/strong><\/a> a series of photos with Eddie, with the message, \u201cHappy Heavenly Birthday Ed, miss ya.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eddie Van Halen passed away Oct. 6, 2020, at age 65 following a long battle with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025, ABC Audio.
