Babygirl<\/em> star Harris Dickinson<\/strong> is once again talking about the possibility\u00a0of playing\u00a0John Lennon<\/strong> in Sam<\/strong> Mendes<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0upcoming biopics on The Beatles<\/strong>, although it sounds like he really doesn\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/em><\/a>,<\/em> Dickinson reportedly groaned when he thought the interviewer was about to ask about the Lennon role and said, \u201cDon\u2019t ask me about that,\u201d although the journalist writes that he was actually going to ask Dickinson if he was going to be on the YouTube series\u00a0Hot Ones<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But during a follow-up interview,\u00a0Dickinson did eventually\u00a0offer up a few words on the\u00a0possibility of\u00a0playing Lennon, although he still didn\u2019t confirm or deny he has the role.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, my comment is that I think it would be a brilliant opportunity to play John Lennon, and to work with Sam and everyone else mentioned,” he said. “Yeah, I don\u2019t know. It would be splendid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dickinson previously commented about playing\u00a0Lennon back in December, telling Variety<\/strong><\/em><\/a>,\u00a0“It\u00a0would be amazing to do that.\u00a0I think the idea of Sam teaming up to do something like that would be incredibly exciting.\u00a0Obviously, John Lennon is a very complex role, a pretty formidable force to try to do. It would be cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mendes\u2019 Beatles project was announced back in February, with the director revealing he planned to make four separate films, one for each member of the group \u2014 Lennon, Paul McCartney<\/strong>, Ringo Starr<\/strong> and George Harrison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Previous reports have claimed that Paul Mescal<\/strong> will be playing McCartney, Barry Keoghan<\/strong> has been cast as Ringo and Joseph Quinn<\/strong>\u00a0will be playing Harrison, although so far there\u2019s been no official word on casting.<\/p>\n
