After fracturing his vocal cords during Aerosmith<\/strong>\u2019s 2023 Peace Out tour, frontman Steven Tyler<\/strong> was back on the stage Sunday night performing at his sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles, backed by a variety of A-list musicians.<\/p>\n

According to Consequence<\/strong><\/a>, while it was announced that Tyler would be reuniting with his Aerosmith bandmates Joe Perry<\/strong> and Tom Hamilton<\/strong>, only Hamilton was part of Tyler\u2019s backing band for the night.\u00a0Tyler was also joined onstage by Extreme<\/strong>\u2019s Nuno Bettencourt<\/strong>, former Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong> drummer Matt Sorum<\/strong>, Mick Fleetwood<\/strong>\u00a0and The Black Crowes<\/strong>\u2019 Chris Robinson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fan-shot footage shared on social media and YouTube shows Tyler performing the Extreme tune \u201cMore Than Words\u201d with Bettencourt on guitar and Fleetwood on drums, and singing \u201cDream On\u201d with country singer Lainey Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The night also included performances of Aerosmith classics \u201cToys in the Attic,” “Sweet Emotion” and \u201cWalk This Way,\u201d as well as a cover of Led Zeppelin<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cHeartbreaker.\u201d<\/p>\n

The performance was Tyler\u2019s first time singing publicly since Aerosmith\u2019s Sept. 9, 2023, concert at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, the show where he injured his vocal cords.\u00a0After postponing the tour, in August the band canceled\u00a0it and announced their retirement from the road, citing Tyler\u2019s continuing vocal problems.<\/p>\n

Money raised during the\u00a0Grammy Viewing Party will go to Janie\u2019s Fund, Tyler’s charity that helps girls who have been abused or neglected, as well as the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighter\u2019s Fund.\u00a0<\/p>\n
