On This Day, Feb. 4, 1977\u2026<\/p>\n

Fleetwood Mac<\/strong> released their 11th studio album Rumours<\/em>, which became a huge commercial success for the band.<\/p>\n

The album topped Billboard<\/em> 200 Albums chart and would go on to spend 31 nonconsecutive weeks at #1, thanks to four top-10 hits: \u201cDreams,\u201d their only #1 song; \u201cGo Your Own Way\u201d; \u201cDon\u2019t Stop\u201d; and \u201cYou Make Loving Fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumours<\/em> won Album of the Year at the Grammys in 1978 and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003. It was also selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Recording Registry in 2017.<\/p>\n

The album has sold over 40 million copies worldwide and has been certified 21-times Platinum by the RIAA.<\/p>\n
