{"id":31406,"date":"2025-02-07T21:02:50","date_gmt":"2025-02-07T21:02:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/dave-stewart-to-celebrate-bob-dylan-with-dave-does-dylan-record-store-day-release\/"},"modified":"2025-02-07T21:02:50","modified_gmt":"2025-02-07T21:02:50","slug":"dave-stewart-to-celebrate-bob-dylan-with-dave-does-dylan-record-store-day-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lascrucestoday.com\/101gold\/dave-stewart-to-celebrate-bob-dylan-with-dave-does-dylan-record-store-day-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Dave Stewart to celebrate Bob Dylan with &#8216;Dave Does Dylan&#8217; Record Store Day release"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/syndication.abcaudio.com\/files\/2025-02-07\/M_DaveStewartDoesDylan_020725.jpg\" alt><figcaption>Surfdog Records<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Bob Dylan<\/strong> is in the news a lot lately thanks to the biopic <em>A Complete Unknown<\/em>, and now his music is being celebrated again, this time by <strong>Eurythmics<\/strong>\u2019 <strong>Dave Stewart<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Stewart is set to release the limited-edition vinyl <em>Dave Does Dylan<\/em> on April 12 for Record Store Day.<\/p>\n<p>The album features 14 \u201cpure and unedited\u201d live covers of Dylan classics, including \u201cForever Young,\u201d \u201cMake You Feel My Love,\u201d \u201cKnockin\u2019 On Heaven\u2019s Door\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Think Twice, It\u2019s Alright.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Stewart and Dylan have become friends over the years, and Stewart notes, &#8220;I\u2019m so, so grateful for getting to know him personally and to now record this album of songs after years of singing them to friends and to myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s been a long road and these lyrics and melodies have kept me company through the best and the worst of times,&#8221; he adds. &#8220;I hope my album can do the same for Dylan fans out there\u2014who understand the mastery and the mystery Bob has bestowed on us, and still does to this day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And Stewart is planning to play some of those covers live when he tapes an episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/recorded-live-at-analog-dave-stewart-tickets-1236687618959?aff=oddtdtcreator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Recorded Live at Analog<\/strong><\/em><\/a> on March 22 at Analog inside The Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
