After debuting in theaters in January, Eric Clapton<\/strong>\u2019s classic Unplugged<\/em> performance can now be streamed at home.<\/p>\n

Eric Clapton Unplugged \u2026 Over 30 Years Late<\/em>r is now streaming on Paramount+, with this version containing commentary from an interview Clapton gave ahead of\u00a0his original\u00a0Unplugged<\/em> performance.<\/p>\n

Clapton is also set to release a digital-only Dolby Atmos mix of Unplugged<\/em>. Plus he\u2019ll drop Unplugged: Enhanced<\/em> Edition<\/em> on May 9. The three-LP\u00a0or two-CD set\u00a0is an\u00a0extended, remixed and remastered edition of the album, with tracks\u00a0that were not included\u00a0during the original MTV airing.<\/p>\n

Unplugged: Enhanced Edition<\/em> is available for preorder<\/strong><\/a> now.<\/p>\n

Clapton recorded his episode of MTV Unplugged<\/em> on Jan. 16, 1992, in front of a small audience at Bray Film Studios in Windsor, England. The taping featured performances of such songs as \u201cTears in Heaven,\u201d about the death of his 4-year-old son, Conor<\/strong>, and an acoustic version of \u201cLayla.\u201d<\/p>\n

A live album of the special was released in August 1992 and went to #1 on the Billboard<\/em> 200 chart. It also won three Grammy Awards, including record and song of the year for \u201cTears in Heaven,” and sold 26 million copies worldwide to become the bestselling live album of all time.<\/p>\n
