The SNL50 Homecoming Concert<\/em> special streamed live on Peacock Friday from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, featuring performances by Bonnie Raitt<\/strong>, David Byrne<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n

Backed by The Roots<\/strong>, Raitt treated the star-studded crowd\u00a0to her\u00a0hit “Thing Called Love.” She was then joined by Coldplay’<\/strong>s Chris Martin<\/strong>\u00a0for her heartbreak balled “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”<\/p>\n

Byrne turned up twice in the evening. First he joined rockers Arcade Fire<\/strong> and St. Vincent<\/strong> for a cover of David<\/strong>\u00a0Bowie’<\/strong>s \u201cHeroes,\u201d and then returned to team with Swedish pop star Robyn<\/strong> for her hit “Dancing on My Own” and Talking Heads’<\/strong> “This Must Be the Place.”<\/p>\n

Here are some of the show’s other highlights:<\/p>\n

Cher<\/strong> broke out her black unitard to perform her hit “If I Could Turn Back Time.”<\/p>\n

The B-52<\/strong>s got everyone dancing with their classic \u201cLove Shack,\u201d with a cameo by SNL<\/em> cast members Bowen Yang<\/strong> and Sarah Sherman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Nirvana<\/strong> members Dave Grohl<\/strong>, Krist Novoselic<\/strong> and Pat Smear<\/strong> reunited to perform \u201cSmells Like Teen Spirit,\u201d with Post Malone<\/strong>\u00a0filling in for the late Kurt Cobain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Eddie Vedder<\/strong>\u00a0covered Tom Petty<\/strong>‘s “The Waiting” and paid tribute to late SNL<\/em> cast members including Gilda Radner<\/strong> and John Belushi<\/strong>. He then began Elvis Costello<\/strong>‘s “Less Than Zero,” which Costello infamously snubbed during his 1977 SNL<\/em> performance, before cutting it and launching into Pearl Jam’<\/strong>s “Corduroy.”<\/p>\n

Vedder also popped up during Andy Samberg<\/strong>‘s Lonely Island<\/strong> medley to sing Michael Bolton’<\/strong>s part of the comedy band’s song “Jack Sparrow.”<\/p>\n

Jack White<\/strong> closed the night by rocking Neil Young<\/strong>‘s “Rockin’ in the Free World” and The White Stripes<\/strong>‘ “Seven Nation Army.”<\/p>\n

Alabama Shakes<\/strong>‘ Brittany Howard<\/strong> joined Miley Cyrus<\/strong> for a rendition of Queen<\/strong>‘s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”<\/p>\n

Mumford & Sons<\/strong> played “I Will Wait” and covered Simon & Garfunkel’s<\/strong> “The Boxer.”<\/p>\n

Devo<\/strong> played their song “Uncontrollable Urge” with Fred Armisen<\/strong> on drums.<\/p>\n
